hello and welcome.

This is a very common problem with xfce based distros on UEFI and it has a great solution that works all the time.

1. Boot again from the Chalet OS installation disk (DVD or flash drive).
2. Open a terminal and run the following commands:
sudo bash
add-apt-repository ppa:yannubuntu/boot-repair
apt update
apt install boot-repair

then run:
After sellecting the recommended options and a few minutes of waiting it will then ask you to run some code. copy it all and paste in new terminal window. (It will do this twice).

When it is done, reboot, when prompted remove installation media and hit enter, and you should be all set!

The only good thing about Windows is that it never gives you any terminal illnesses.
Needless to say, Terminal illnesses are the only problem with Linux.
