[solved]ChaletOS doesen't recognise scanner

Post by Dits on Thu Oct 20, 2016 9:46 am

Having a problem with my Printer/scanner...it's a Cannon MG2400 series.
Although the printer is recognised and prints ok, the scanner does not.. iv'e tried the scanner on live versions of Mint XFCE and Peppermint, the scanner is automatically detected and works.
Is something missing in ChaletOS ?

The only good thing about Windows is that it never gives you any terminal illnesses.
Needless to say, Terminal illnesses are the only problem with Linux.

Nothing happens when i hit 'devices' James, I have simple scan installed, but when i use it, it says ' No scanner detected' yet it works on other XFCE distros.

Didn't work James... that's ok though, i very rarely use my scanner anyway.. i am still using the older version of ChaletOs 14.04.3 ... haven't tried it in the latest version yet. So if i want to scan something, i'l just boot up another live XFCE disro.
Thanks for your help anyway.
