Are 32bit NON-PAE and 64bit PAE?

Are 32bit NON-PAE and 64bit PAE?

Someone asked the question and is probably not a member of this forum,
so i hope someone here can confirm that:
32bit download is NON-PAE and 64bit PAE.

Just a nit-pick, but 64 bit systems don't need PAE (physical address extensions OR page address extensions) because they have more address space by default.

I have run 32 bit linux (including chalet OS) AND 64 bit versions in Virtualbox. Most are OK with PAE/INX disabled on VM settings. I do remember one version of Fedora that bonked until I turned on PAE/INX but other than that no. Hope this helps! Smile Wink Very Happy

The only good thing about Windows is that it never gives you any terminal illnesses.
Needless to say, Terminal illnesses are the only problem with Linux.
